Bio
Phil joined Erskine in March 2008 and has risen up the ranks to become our Design Director. He is a designer of the highest calibre, with particular expertise in interaction design and user experience. Phil is ultimately responsible for all of the design output of the agency.
He has a degree in product design and started his career designing mobile phone user interfaces before discovering an interest in the web in 2003. He then focused predominantly on e-commerce websites working on a variety of projects for clients including KPMG, the NHS and ITV.
Phil has an outstanding grasp of web accessibility best practices and regularly attends courses with accessibility partners such as the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB).
This keeps Erskine at the forefront of accessible and standards based design. Phil is also a regular contributor to industry publications, and has recently written for .NET magazine on layouts for the web.
He's a talented drummer and when not chained to his Mac can usually be found on the local gig circuit.
