Jon describes his work as “Wonky, wibbly, odd, angry, happy, dumb, wrong” – but don’t let that fool you. Jon is one of the world’s most sought after illustrators, with an idiosyncratic doodling style all of his own. An astute man of business, this obsession with pens has spawned a merchandising machine over the years, and 2008 saw landmark achievements for Jon – including a fantastic line of Burgertown collectable toy figures, and a delicious 350-page monograph of his work to date. With clients ranging from Sony to The Guardian and everyone in between, chances are you’ve happened across Jon’s characters when you least expected it.
“The process of making my site with Erskine was extremely simple and painless, and required no heavy lifting from me. Thanks to Erskine I have a successful web home and can spend more time noodling in my note books and less time not understanding what CSS, RSS, HTML and all their acronym chums are and do.”

The relationship originally began with Colly’s rebuild of his friend Jon’s website in 2005, and the tinkering has continued well into the Erskine era. This ongoing maintenance is now in the capable hands of the wider Erskine team, with several of us keeping his HTML, CSS, Flash and content management in good order as his site scales with his world domination.
By happy coincidence, you can usually find Jon in the far corner of our shared studio where he spends his days listening to obscure Japanese choral music, drowning in his own merchandise, and tolerating our incessant banter and forgotten washing up.
