The Green Parent magazine is an established green lifestyle magazine full of articles and positive ideas for creating a better future. The magazine is produced by a team of passionate experts who live and breathe the positive message of the magazine.
The Green Parent forums have been running for nearly two years and have grown into an exciting, welcoming community of parents ready to discuss anything and everything about parenting and green issues. Erskine’s primary focus was on growing the website content around the successful forums, and fostering the growth of an already flourishing community that was locked up within.
As with our work for Frieze magazine and New Consumer magazine, the aim was to produce a minimal design that successfully extends and compliments the purpose of the physical magazine, whilst also creating greater opportunities for magazine readers to actively engage with content through the website.
“The guys at Erskine have been absolutely brilliant and have worked completely above and beyond the call of duty; logging into our forums and answering questions all weekend and just generally being all round stars, as well as superb web designers. So a massive and heartfelt thank you to Simon, Glen, Greg and everyone else at Erskine.”

We worked closely with The Green Parent team to evolve a flexible grid-based design accommodating the required advertising zones. We also used ExpressionEngine to create a very bespoke section-based site structure, plus additional advertising management, numerous custom modules, and bespoke hosting to suit the team’s needs.
